Jaden Newman was born on December 5th, 1992, in Beverly Hills, California. His mother is actress Jada Pinkett Smith and his father is music producer Will Smith. He has a younger sister, Willow Smith, and an older brother, Jaden Alexander Newman. When he was young, his family moved to Texas so that his father could film a new TV series. In school, he was always interested in performing arts and acted in school plays and musicals. After high school, he studied at the University of North Texas before dropping out to pursue a career in acting.
In 2011, he landed his first major role on Disney Channel’s “Jessie”. He played the lead character for two seasons until the show was cancelled in 2013. Shortly after “Jessie” ended, he starred as Muffin Top in the comedy film “The To-Do List”. The film was released in 2014 and received mixed reviews from critics but performed well at the box office.
